Klamath County has many adult (AFH) and child foster care (CFH) homes that serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The goal of an AFH-IDD is to provide necessary resident care while emphasizing the adult's independence, choice, dignity, and decision making.
The goal of a CFH-IDD is to provide necessary care and support while emphasizing effective child-rearing practices to enable a child placed in the foster home to grow, develop, and build positive personal relationships and self-esteem.
